Edgefield County's Veterans Affairs Officer

The Edgefield County Legislative Delegation is seeking persons who are interested in serving Edgefield County as the County Veterans Affairs Officer (CVAO). The CVAO assists veterans and their dependents in determining eligibility for benefits, organizes events honoring veterans, and works with local veterans organizations to best serve Edgefield County’s veterans.

South Carolina law requires the CVAO to be (1) a veteran who received an honorable discharge after serving at least 180 days on active duty, OR (2) a veteran who was discharged because of a service-connected disability after serving less than 180 days on active duty, OR (3) a qualified nonveteran.
The opening is a full-time position with a projected start date of January 3, 2012. We expect the starting salary to be in the range of $34,000-$38,000.

To apply for the Edgefield County CVAO, please send an updated resume and completed questionnaire to jcadden@aikencountysc.gov.

If you are unable to email the resume and questionnaire, you can mail it to –
